Ciara

Nokia Theater - December, 2006
by James Rosen      Up-and-coming R&B singer Ciara performed her heart out at NYC’s Nokia Theater in early December. She also connected with her audience while speaking to them and revealing the obstacles she has overcome to become secure in herself as an artist and a woman.

Ciara opened the show with the song "Goodies," which she sang with confidence while projecting a tantalizing sexuality with her dance moves, as her backup dancers emulated her every move. She continued her erotic moves in the song "Like You." She was sexy, driven and determined during each song of her set. She also looked better than ever. The stage show was high in energy, never missing a beat and never slowing down between the hip-hop dancers and sensual nature of the choreography. The performance was everything you could have wanted. The crowd was with her every step of the way during her version of Missy Elliot's song "Lose Control," as she was grinding out moves while revealing her ripped abs to the delight of the male fans in the audience. She closed the show with "Get Up," and her last number was the song "Evolution."

Ciara seemed ready to collapse by the show's end, but she gave her fans everything they could hope for in a performance and then some.
